Magnum would like to entertain you

We would like to perform songs for your entertainment, this Saturday at the Alibi at 11 p.m.
Let’s have fun together, for the purposes of rockin’ out!

We are playing music with Freeball & Lightning from Oakland – who are quite good.

Sincerely, the band Magnum

Jennifer Savage – Rockin’ the ‘bi

Sure, some people are purists, preferring the comfort of high-end headphones and studio-produced sound to the somewhat imperfect live experience, but for those of us with a hankering for the catharsis of the loud and live music experience, Ian Hiler has a full week of therapy lined up at the Alibi. Alibi, internationally immortalized

(Some viewers may also recognize a certain Humboldt’s New Rock studio as well.)

I’m a fan of a lot of bands around here and not only that, but feel rather responsible these days to put my two cents into this column and make some what of an impression on the reader to go see these bands and support the local scene. (I appreciate both of you readers, by the way.) More here.

Josh Duke on Trigger Renegade, the Zygoats

In my life I try to surround myself with those that I think will not only create a positive atmosphere, but also inject wisdom in my life for me to live by. I spent many an hour deciding whether I should attend to see Trigger Renegade and the Zygoats Friday evening.
